According to Waterwise, an average of 85,000 litres of rainfall falls on your roof every year. Collecting rain in water butts or barrels in an efficient way of conserving and recycling rain water. This water can then be used to water your garden, clean your car and wash your windows.
Rain collection is normally achieved using a water butt, positioned independently by each downpipe, although you can have them standing in one location and inter-connect them with short lengths of hose.
Richard Williams stock two sizes of water butts, a standard size of 200ltr and a smaller 95ltr option too. Both water butts come with a stand, tap and diverter kit, however we do stock the taps and diverter kits separately if you need to replace an existing one.
