Sliding doors remain to be popular in properties in the UK, especially when used for wardrobe doors, as they take up less room and look more contemporary than hinged doors. Richard Williams have a range of sliding door gear from Stormguard. The range includes the Ballrace and Wardrobe type of kits.
The Ballrace system can be used for converting an existing internal hinged door to a sliding door, or fitting an internal door to an existing opening. It’s a high quality durable system featuring steel ball bearings running in a heavy duty aluminium track, creating an extra smooth running ‘ball race action’. The bottom channel fits to the door to leave the floor clear and provide easy access. Minimum door thickness is 22mm and maximum door weight is 35kg.
The wardrobe gear No.1 kits are ideal for built in storage space and wardrobes. The doors are allowed to bypass each other smoothly carried by nylon wheels on a strong aluminium track. The top track features two channels in a single extrusion for each assembly. The bottom channel fits to the door to leave the floor clear and provide easy access. The total weight of doors should not exceed 20kg.
If you need to allow fitment of thicker and heavier doors, then we also have the No.2 wardrobe gear kits in stock. The total weight of doors for these kits can go up to 40kg.
