Veneered MDF has been created for those projects where only the best selected veneers are good enough. Veneered MDF is an ideal alternative to solid woods and it is used for a number of purposes including making office furniture, kitchen cabinets, panel mouldings, dining sets, fire surrounds and many more. MDF is inexpensive and easy to work with and MDFs mild reaction to moisture makes it ideal for bathroom cabinets and other high humidity applications. MDF veneers suppliers like Richard Williams provide a product that is renowned for its high strength properties and it is becoming increasingly popular for kitchen applications.
Two types of veneer are available; Crown Cut Veneer is produced by slicing through the log giving a result which emphasizes the Crown and a cleaner and more decorative Veneer, and secondly; Quarter Cut this is produced by cutting at right angles to the growth rings producing a straight grain less detailed effect.
Richard Williams stock Ash, Oak and Pine MDF Veneers in 6, 12 and 18mm.
